Beware of unregistered Laser/IPL users…..

It is estimated that up to 70% of users of laser/IPL systems are not registered……

The Care Standards Act 2000 made it illegal for any individual or organisation to operate a laser or IPL system without prior registration with the Healthcare Commission. Sadly an industry estimate states 90% of users of such systems are deliberately avoiding registration and if caught could face criminal prosecution.

Registration with the Healthcare Commission is an exhausting process but guarantees service users high levels of quality of treatment and care. Prospective clients have the right to see the report prepared by the Commission with regard to any registered user and therefore give the prospective client an insider view of the organisation. All registered organisation must allow any interested parties access to this report or alternatively you can contact The Commission directly and they will be glad firstly to let you know if a user is registered and secondly supply reports for those who are.
