Investors in People IIP

Our 2006 report……
We are thrilled to announce that we have passed our first re-inspection under the IIP. We passed our original assessment in just nine weeks from making the application to achieving our first award in 2003. We have to be assessed every three years to check that we are still worthy of this prestigious award. We have done that and we want to share our delight with you. So, what is Investors in People and what does our achievement mean in reality?

The IIP standards have changed in response to business needs and so, as well as assessing how we care for the people that work for us, they also assess how well we are managing the business. This is the first year that these new standards have been implemented and we could have been assessed using the 'old' criteria but we believe in pushing ourselves and so we opted for the more demanding new assessment. All the more pleasing is the fact that we passed and in grand style too.

For those of you that know, it is a nationally accredited inspection process that confirms that we invest in the very people that make Cristianos the success that it is, those people you see when you visit the Clinic and who provide the service and/or treatment you enjoy. We are obliged to do what we should do as good employers, we should speak with people and ensure that they are encouraged and enthusiastic to do the work and that we provide training and guidance to help them continue to do well. We also need to listen to them to ensure we know what works and what does not work, from their point of view. To judge whether or not we do 'invest' in our people, the Assessors asked them and we are absolutely delighted that those very people have spoken so highly of what we do to support them. Thank you to our staff.
