Additional Update: Well, that was written some time ago and my life has progressed rapidly since then, although in some ways it doesn't seem all that long since I took those first nervous steps into the laser clinic for my first session. How pleased I am that I did! It is now one year since my gender reassignment surgery .I am very happy and still feel that a lot of this happiness is due to Chris and all the other lovely staff at Cristianos. They gave me both the physical and emotional help to get to where I am today. As I said previously, the laser treatment to remove my facial hair was the biggest single aid to passing and the greatest confidence booster that I received throughout my transition. Chris was her usual caring and sensitive self when I had to start having per??? (whatever posh word Chris uses to describe treatment on those horrible bits!) treatment prior to my surgery. Again it was carried out professionally and sensitively. My surgeon was impressed with the results when he examined me before the surgery. In the year since my surgery I have remained hair free both on my face and around my new vagina. I am sure the total lack of hair re-growth in this area contributed significantly to my trouble free healing and lack of post-operative infections. I still return to the clinic occasionally to have minor touch up treatments to my facial hair- to treat one or two isolated hairs, which pop up every now and then. There is no real need and it is partly due to the fact that I am a complete perfectionist and partly because since I have stopped my regular sessions I have missed the friendship of all the staff and return periodically to socialise. As I mentioned in my earlier writing, I cannot recommend Cristianos strongly enough. There is no need to be nervous when attending -you really could not hope to meet more professional, caring and friendly people. Vicky
