Treatment Costs:

Costs of treatment vary from clinic to clinic and area to area but not at Cristianos. It should never be the main deciding factor and the most expensive need not always indicate the best. It is possible to find clinics such as Cristianos that do not charge consultation fees and who will include free test shots in order to gauge skin reaction. Clinics should also break down treatments into facial areas at no extra charge in order to spread costs, for instance having your upper lip and chin treated first and then, as finances allow, moving onto other facial areas.

Our policy

At Cristianos we believe that the benefits of laser hair removal should be available to everyone. Therefore we have endeavoured to make our pricing policy as affordable as possible; there are no ‘schemes’ and no ‘hidden extras’.

A treatment plan will be developed between the client and clinician to meet the needs of the individual, taking into account both personal and financial circumstances. For example, if a client can budget for £40 per month a personalised plan will be developed based on that figure.

Treatments are scheduled at monthly intervals. There are no advanced payments and you only pay for the treatment that you as an individual require.

Treatments for Transgender Clients

Removal of “male-pattern” facial hair is an essential component to successful transition and acceptance in the female gender role. Over the last 10 years, Cristianos has built a reputation not only for a caring, ethical and professional approach but also for producing long-term results. We are proud to have many clients who are now nine years post treatment and are able to live life without the constant constraints and negative psychological effects of “male-pattern” facial hair.

There are many factors that may affect treatment, including hair and skin colours, hormone regimes and compliance with treatment schedules.

Our experience of full-face treatment has shown that, usually, the cheeks and neck are virtually clear of hair after 10 sessions. The remaining treatments continue to breakdown the upper lip and chin with the upper lip being most resistant to treatment. The optimum number of treatments ranges somewhere between 15 and 20. Our collective evidence would show that between 1% and 10% of the original amount of dark hair does not respond to laser treatment and that very little benefit is gained after 20 treatment sessions.

A course of electrolysis is recommended to deal with the hair, which is unsuitable for laser.

Consultation

Consultations at Cristianos are aimed at giving you information and guidance about treatment options along with their benefits, any drawbacks and possible side effects. In order that we can advise on the most appropriate treatment for you, as an individual, we will require answers to some questions about your medical history and any medication you may be taking.

Our aim is to provide treatment that is most suited to you. The needs of each individual client, your preferences and any reasonable requests that you may make, will always be considered when planning your treatment.

Should laser treatment be the most suitable option that we recommend for your particular needs, a test patch must be carried out prior to any treatment. This test patch will allow observation of your individual skin reaction to treatment and let you experience the sensation of treatment, which is said to be similar to the flick of a rubber band against the skin.

Consultation and test patch are provided completely free of charge and without obligation. We suggest that you return home and read the information supplied in this guide before making your decision about treatment. It is highly unlikely that we will conduct a test patch and treatment on the same day.

Results

Of course the bottom line is will the treatment be successful, ultimately women need to be free from facial hair at least. Whatever the cost of treatment it won’t be cost effective if the hair regrows. As with any treatment you must choose technology with a proven track record of success. Ask the salon to show you photographic proof of their results and ask people who have received treatment. Does the salon have a reputation for producing results? Is the salon likely to be around in twelve months time if you have any problems, particularly if they are asking you to pay up front?
