Experts in Hair Removal Leeds, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Bury – The Story
Hair Removal at Cristianos emerged in 1997, with the experience of one woman, Chris Hart. She was determined that all treatments in which she was involved had an ethical approach; the needs of clients would always be the first consideration. She established the first Cristianos Laser Clinic in Altrincham, near Manchester, to provide that service. The reputation of the Clinic became such that demand
increased and in response to that need she aimed to reduce the traveling times of clients by opening other Clinics in Bury, Leeds, London and Liverpool which are all now established around the U.K. Chris has a wide background in Beauty Therapy, particularly hair removal and skin treatments. She was one of the first therapists in the U.K. to successfully treat clients using laser and electrolysis for hair removal and one of the
first therapists to establish a private clinic using the revolutionary and effective Chromos 694 Ruby Laser and now the state of the art system the Energist Ultra VPL along with electrolysis to treat unwanted hair for clients with Pilonidal Sinus and PCOS as well as Gender Reassignment and Phalloplasty patients both post and pre-operative in order to assist Surgeons in the preparation of the donor site.
Cristianos filmed for BBC…
The BBC recently ran a series of short features about common medical problems on their early evening programme ‘The One Show’. The series was presented by the shows doctor, Sarah Jarvis and included a feature on unwanted hair. Cristianos were privileged to have been asked by the BBC in conjunction with Verity a UK PCOS Charity group to take part. Unwanted and problem hair growth was top of the list when it came to Sarah Jarvis’s post bag and the feature was aimed to bring the subject out in to the open rather than in the bathroom.
There was a lengthy discussion with Chris Hart MD who was seen performing treatment on a client who suffers with unwanted hair as a result of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). The client conveyed the effect the problem had on her both from the physical and the psychological perspective with everyday life. Filming took place at our London Clinic. The viewing figures for The One Show are in excess of 5 million and we hope our participation will help to get the message across to PCOS sufferers that technology exists to solve the problem of unwanted hair growth.
